What do you think about this idea for a pro- religious tolerance fiction story?
The idea is that the atheists have become much more active and militant, gaining positions of political power and oppressing and persecuting pretty much all theists with restrictive laws, letting hate-crimes against them go unpunished and as the story goes on even round-ups and internment camps similar to what the Nazis did during the holocaust. (Please don't get offended, creating the worst-case scenario helps prove the eventual point) In the midst of this theist mothers of various religions (1st Christianity and Islam but eventually Judaism, wicca, and Hindu) band together to stop the persecution and protect their children but to do so they will have to learn to understand each other and each others faith. They are also eventually joined by a non-believer who refuses to call herself an atheist out of disgust for they way other atheists are acting. Along the way their children must also make the same journey toward tolerance and understanding
